The institute has a very healthy environment and long history of organising seminars, symposia, lectures, and certain celebrations like World Heritage Day and Heritage Week, Sanskrit and Hindi day/ week or pakhwada. Generally every year one or two national seminars are organised in the institute. Activities such as archaeological exploration, excavation, museum, monuments, or site visits with students as part of their training are regular activities.


Apart from this it is mandatory for all the students to prepare ppt on and assignments on each paper and participate in the field survey and excavation.



Other Activities


The institute organizes symposia on the occasion of Maharana Pratap Jayanti, Magh Jayanti, Bavji Chater Singhji Jayanti, Jannu Bhai Jayanti, besides Sanskrit, Hindi, Dharohar, Viswa Matra Bhasa Diwas and Museum Day.


On 18th April, 2015, and 2016 rally was organized in different areas of Udaipur town in order to increase the awareness of heritage. Both rallies were flagged off by the Mayor Sri Chandra Singh Kothari and the walks were participated by people from various walk of life e.g., university teachers, students, social workers, intellectuals, industrialists, craftsman and others. After the walk open discussions were organized which were participated enthusiastically by the participants? And such attempts were highly appreciated.


In the year 2015 we celebrated World Heritage Week (19th to 25th November, 2015) and conducted visits to several sites and a symposia I in the institute.





Exhibitions of archaeological finds housed in the institute, personal collection of coins, and panchangs was organized on the occasion of Tarana Trayodashi on 29th July, 2015 (Aasad Sukla Teras) and on 14th Septmber, 2016 (Bhadrapad Sukla Paksha Teras).



Azadi 70


In the third week of August 2016, on the recommendation of UGC, “Azadi 70” week was celebrated by raising an exhibition of freedom fighters of Rajasthan and Crime Investigation Department reports. To raise this exhibition Dr. Hemendra Chaudhary of MVS College provided books related to freedom movement and CID records. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot, Vice Chancellor JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur and Prof. K. S. Gupta chaired the symposia.
