    Capacity program for childline functionaries

    21-22 December 2015

    Two day capacity building program was organizes at Jhadol sub center of Childline by Childline nodal, Udaipur school of social work for the functionaries of childline i.e. team member, center coordinators under the guidance of Childline India foundation,New Delhi.The program aimed at capacity enhancement of the childine staff especially in the field of reporting formats, documentation and networking with allied system.

    Capacity Building Training

    A day long capacity building training was organized by the childline Udaipur.Training was organized on reviewing formats and processes to be undertaken forty aspirants attended the training.The training was imparted by Dr.Avnish nagar, director childline Udaipur.

    Blood Donation Camp in Udaipur school of social work

    09 March 2016

    The camp took place in the auditorium of Udaipur school of social work. The camp started by an interaction of the Doctors with the students and he told the students about the benefits of donating blood. Hemoglobin of all the girls were cheeked and out of which about 5 girls donated blood and 35 others students donated the blood. The Camp had very positive response as the students in big number donated blood. The Vice Chancellor along with other staff members were also a support to the camp as they were present in most of the program. At the end of the camp a small thanked giving program was been organized where Prof. S.S. Sagrangdeot (V.C. Janardan Rai Nagar Vidyapeeth) was chief guest, he was accompanied by Dr. R.K. Kerara, Dr. Veena Dwivedi. The program began with lamp and lightening followed by introduction speech by Dr. VeenaDwivedi, who had shared her views about the camp and thanked the organizer to organize the camp. Later VC expressed his heartily thanks to organizing committee and told to initial a health check up camp for students to ensure there good health. The program ended up with thanks giving speech by principal mem Dr. Manju Mandot.

    The students of USSW got the opportunity to contribute in this philanthropic work. A one day donation Blood Donation Camp was organized in the campus of USSW camps by and Agency named “Look Mitra” Which collect blood from people and help those who need that in emergency on unit blood which is approx 350 Unit blood was taken from each downer a prior hemoglobin test was taken and according to eligibility students were allowed to donate, students who do not match the criteria (Minimum 12 hemoglobin required) were strictly restricted to donate out of health issues. The participation of students was worth appreciating but due to take of hemoglobin for were denied from donating, but they helped in management work to give their contribution in the camp.

    The end of the camp the Doctor told that he was very happy with the response of the students, who donated their blood without any fear. Blood is the driving force of our life; it is the major source of life. But many people die due to non- availability of blood on time. Many people's knows that the body has the capacity of re- build blood within months, but still due to the hesitate to donate blood and other do not get the opportunities and motivation to donate.Students donating the blood were provided with Snacks and milk. Response of the student was positive and each one felt good of being a part of good cause.

    Two Days Women Empowerment Camp


    12-13 February 2016

    Two day’s women Empowerment Camp was conducted by USSW with the help of central Board of Workers education held on 12/02/2016 to 13/02/2016 and one day NSS Camps was held on 12/02/2016. The Camp is started with institutional another and pages song at 11.00 am After that Dr. Veena Dwivedi, Dr. Sita Gurjar, Dr. Sunil Choudhary, Dr. Naval Singh has discussed about different topics to the USSW students and women who attend the camp. After the seminar of faculty members, of USSW vikalp Agency Workers, Miss Usha and Mis. Fancy had joined with the camp. Firstly Mis fancy gave a brief introduction about vikalp Agency. After that Mis. Usha was take seminar about the topic, what are the processes, or steps needed for makes a women friendly college and women friendly society actually. There was an interaction process between students, Women and Ushaji. The following points were described from the interaction process. Ms. Usha gave responsibility for 5 students to write these points on a chart and placed it in main entrance of USSW.

    ·         Girls will not sit quietly

    ·         Will give opportunities to girls.

    ·         No we of bad words.

    ·         Boys and teachers give supported and respect to girls.

    After this, snakes and tea had distributed to all the women, teacher and the resources persons. After 2-00 PM, K.S Yadav, Regional Director of central Board of Workers Education, Udaipur Dr. Sudhir Wadiwa, Educational officer, CBWE, joined to the programme.

    One Day workshop on “Corporate Social Responsibility”

    15th Feb. 2016 

    A workshop was organized by Udaipur school of social work on corporate social responsibility. The key note speaker was  Mr. Sanjay Singh of  RUGS Foundation,Jaipur delivered an effective and enlightening discourse on the subject. He not only explained about what and how their company used to act for social responsibility but also explained how others performed it. He also explained the students about the vast scope CSR has and how social work aspirants can opt it as their career path.

    Extension Lecture/workshop on Challenges and Opportunities in Human Resource Management

    1 March 2016

    On 01st March 2016 a Workshop on challenges and opportunities in Human Resource management was organized by Udaipur school of social work. The chief speaker was Mr.Madan Meghwal from Tata Motors Lakhnow and Mr.Abhishek Nair from Coke Ghaziabad both were alumni of the college and have delivered interactive and knowledge enhancing lecture on the said issues. They have also discussed about the prerequisites to get good job in the multinational companies.  

    Poster Competition on Gender Based Issues Between Rural And Urban Youth

    8th March 2016

    A poster competition on the eve of International Women’s Day was organized by the department under the broad theme of ‘gender based issues between rural and urban youth’. Students had shown artistically their views and ideas on that particular issue through poster making. Almost 85 students were present in the competition accompanied by all the faculty members of the Udaipur school of social work.

    Poster Exhibition at Fateh Sagar

    On the basis of the conviction that ideas are merely ideas until they are disclosed among the general public the department in association with ALFA organization arranged an exhibition at the famous Fateh Sagar lake of the city. The creativity and ideas of the social work aspirants on the gender issues were exhibited in the public place and highly appreciated by the people.

    Candle March at Chetek circle

    10th March 2016

    In connection to the previous two events on the theme of Gender Equality a Candle March in association with ALFA organization and Vishakha organization,Udaipur. The chief guest of the occasion was Major Shri C.S. Kothari and Prof. S.S. Sarangdevot  the Vice Chancellor of JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth.All the students and faculty of the school of social work along with the members of civil society were present in the program.

    Placement Seminar

    11 March 2016

    A seminar was conduct on 11/03/16 at 11.00 am to 130 pm. Firstly he gave own introduction and said about the saint Goban Industry and showed glimpse of the Industry. This video clip help students and teachers to know about the industry. After the introduction section, the topic changed to, what skills are needed for the students, who choose HR As their profession?

    ·         Computer skill (Web browsing, PPT, Etc)

    For increasing confidence of students, he showed an another video clip to them in that video shows that even an uneducated person can  learn and speak English very well. At last he explained their selection criteria for get job in the Saint Gobain Industry.

     Youth parliaments on Gender Issues

    19th March 2016

    The department along with civil society initiatives organized first of its kind in Rajasthan Youth parliaments on gender issues. It was highly successful event in which youth from six different universities of Rajasthan participated and raised their important voices in front of academicians, administrative heads and civil society members. The students had also presented their papers on the related themes and the expert from the arena of youth and gender issues were also invited to place their views on the issues related to youth. Essentially it was an effort of the Udaipur school of social work and civil society to

    involve youth in social policy making.

    Training Programme for Minorities Women under the Nayi Roshani Yojana

    Dr Veena Dwivedi invited as a resource person to deliver the lecturer on self image and communication and community participation by Consumer unity and trust society, ManavVikassansthan ,Chittorgarh. On 3rd march and 20thmarch, 2016. Two batches of 25th women were present in the seminar. It was a one week training programme for minority's society. All the women's enjoyed these activities and also learn a lot after this session. Six NSS students of Udaipur school of social work  had also participated in this programme.

    Interaction Workshop to Exchange of Social Work Views, Values, Ideas and Culture

    15th March, 2016

    One day interaction workshop on social work values, ideas, culture organized between Udaipur School of Social Work (USSW) and Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Surat where the principal of the respective schools along with the professors and students were present and exchange their Nobel thoughts regarding social work profession. Dr. Veena Dwivedi, Sr. Asst. Prof. of U.S.S.W had cheered the session and welcomes all the participants. Dr. Naval Singh Rajput Asst. Proff. Of USSW had shared about the history of vidhyapeeth and the school of social work, which is the 6Th school in terms of establishment (1959) of social work education in India. Thereafter, Dr.Veena Dwivedi had shared the course curriculum which the students taught during the two years of course. After that Dr. Avnish Nagar field work coordinator as well as child line Udaipur director had shared the field work pattern of USSW with the students. He had also mention the name of field work agencies where the students are being placed to practice their theoretical knowledge in the field of Development Management and Human Resource Management. After that some questions were raised by the students from both side regarding social work present future development aspects. Dr. Sunil Choudhary placement coordinator of USSW has shared his placement details of the students who were being placed in different organization for job after completion of course. Dr. Rekha Mishra, Principal of VNSGU, Surat had shared the course curriculum of her department where students had to learn all the fields of social work from the different field work agencies in general which make their students full professional.

    Capacity Building Workshop on Business of Skill Development

    For directorate of Janshikshan evam Vistar Nideshalay,JRNRVU and Ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship. Thirty participants from USSW, Directorate of jan vikas sans than and students of USSW Collage participated in the workshop. The following points were discussed:

    1.      Introduction about the skill development programme, which is run by Govt. of India.

    2.      About the NSQF, National Skill Qualification Framework

    3.      Innovation Education methods

    4.      About the Qualification Pack such as Model included, knowledge attitude and skill

    5.      About the skill development value chain major component

    6.      Candidate evaluation form

    7.      250 hour its curricula course

    8.      About few new courses for minorities such as nai manjil, three month skill training as well as demine courses

    Guest Lecturer by Shri Sanjay Sharma

    Sanjay Sharma is a One of the Alumni Member of 1987 batch of USSW, presently working in Hindustan Zink, as a HR Officer, took session with all the MSW Student. He clears students doubt related to jobs. He shared his own experience regarding the different job. Such as own roles and experiences .After the session, an interaction session was organized between him and students. He motivated the student end of the session a memento and thank given to him by the student mr. diveysh joshi

    Celebrated International Youth Day

    12th August 2016 

    The Udaipur school of social work along with civil society organization celebrated international youth day in the department focused on 17 SDG (Sustainable development goal)  developed by United Nations. Many students have presented their views along with guest and expert invited from the non government organization almost 300 youth participated in the celebration.

    One Day NSS Plantation Camp

    10 September 2016

    A plantation camp was organized on 10/09/2016 in which students of pervious and final year took part. Around 75 students participated in the camp. We were divided into five groups. Each group was allotted specific area which had to be cleaned. All the students showed great enthusiasm and cleaned the campus really well. All the grass and extra weed was removed by the students. After cleaning the campus for about 3 hours snacks was given to everyone followed by a small programme in which we honored our chief guest, Mr. Praveen Ratalia , Dr Manju Mandot and other faculty member. Dr Veena Dwivedi took the initiation in making this camp successful and encouraged all the students to participate in this camp and raised awareness about tress plantation and sanitation. Our chief guests gave us a speech in which he told us how important it is to plant trees and organize such camps also donated the 50 trees . The main motive of this camp was to raise awareness among all the students and understand the value of our environment. All the groups adopted different plants and promised to take care of the plants which they planted till they finish their studies.

    Review and mapping of Child Care Institutions of Rajasthan

    (December 2015 to  September 2016)


    A study was conducted to review the CCI ( Child Care Institution) of Rajasthan in 16 Districts under the guidance of Ministry of Women and Child Development, govt. of India, Child line nodal, Udaipur School of social works was conducted for proposed framing of rules for the child care institutions following the instructions of Honorable Supreme Court.
