Course Overview

Department of Agricultural Sciences was Established in the year 2015. This course is widely admired and treated as an in imperative knowledgeable course foe improving agricultural practices, to provide better yield by involving advanced and scientific approaches without affecting the environment.

Livelihood of 60-65% population of India is directly or indirectly dependant on agriculture and its allied subsidiaries. In our zone large number of tribal farmers having very small land holding capacity out of which most of the area is under rainfed. Same time the people are engaged in farming are illiterate ,lack of knowledge about improved varieties, breeds, dose of pesticides and fertilizers to be used and generally growing local corn varieties in kharif season whose production per unit area is very low . The lower production is due to lack of irrigation, knowledge, topography and many more. So, in general the socio-economic status of these farmers are very poor. Even the institute teaching regarding agriculture in zone their intake capacity is very low. So, the wards of these farmers cannot get admission in agriculture due to high competition and thus they getting backward. So, our aim is :-

• To give quality education in Agriculture to the wards of weaker section of the society.
• By giving regrous practical training in Agriculture, our aim to make students self-sufficient and develop entrepreneurship ability among them so, instead of job seakers they become job providers.
