Department of Applied Science

The department of applied science is of vital significance in technical institutions. It is essentially the foundation stone on which the structure of various professional courses rest upon. One of the existing enduring features of applied science department is the energy and enthusiasm of faculty and students. This department aims at developing the dormant faculties of young scholars through teaching in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with a view to get insight of the foundation essential for engineering education.

The objective of teaching these courses is to enable the engineering graduates to acquire proficiency and expand their skill to communicate effectively to handle the future jobs in industry. The department of applied science in RVTC aims at making the budding technocrats well equipped and well versed in their prospective careers.

Department of Civil Engineering

Civil engineering is a professional discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including work like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. This department consists of well equipped Laboratories, Surveying Lab, Concrete Lab, and Material Testing Lab etc.

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of the major activities in engineering profession & its principles are involved in the design, study, development & construction of nearly all the physical devices & systems.

The department has spacious and well equipped laboratories. All the laboratories of the department have been designed and created to provide impetus to these areas apart from being used in teaching and programming.

This Department consists of Strength of Material Lab with computerised Universal Testing machine(UTM), Internal Combustion Enginers, Fluid Mechanics Lab, thermal Lab, Thermal Engineering Lab, Dynamic of Machine Lab and spacious Work Shop etc.

Department of Electrical Engineering

Electrical engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study of production, transmission, distribution, circuitry, Instrumentation, measurements related to electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. The field first became an identifiable occupation in the late nineteenth century after commercialization of the electric telegraph and electrical power supply. This  department consists of well equipped laboratories, and Electrical workshop etc. Students get ample opportunity to develop electrical engineering skills.

Department of Electronics & Comm. Engineering

The department is engaged in providing knowledge and skills in the field of Electronic Engineering to buding engineers in a professional way. The motto of the department is to keep pace with rapidly evolving technology and to be in tune with the latest developments. We are imparting Electronic Engineering knowledge with specialized laboratories which are well established, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and instruments for experimentation in these fields. Students are trained in fault tracing, fabrication and measurements.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering

Computer Engineering focuses on computer architecture and communication networks. Computer systems engineering is the application of engineering and computer science principles in the designing and developing of computer hardware and software systems. This field provide the opportunity to work in the continually changing information technology sector. With the development of faster hardware components, new communication systems and software, there is ever increasing need for computer engineers. Students get enough opportunity to learn hardware, software and testing of software developed by them.
